Travelling with a child with a physical disability that uses a wheelchair takes extra planning. Cooper has been travelling since he was 6 months old and loves exploring new places. Cooper has Dystonic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy and uses a manual quickie Zippie wheelchair while we […]
When we travel we travel carry on only which often limits the amount of toys and “stuff” the kids can take. We are always on the look out for smart, compact travel ideas. Both my younger kids love lego so we decided to make these little travel lego containers together.
“Lego on the go” which are perfect for adventures in the car, plane, bus or train!
You will need:
- Lego board.(Kmart for $8 and we could make 4 travel sets from the 1 piece)
- Hot glue gun or double sided tape.
- Scissors to cut the board. ( + pen to mark correct size)
- Plastic container ( we got ours from Kmart $3)
- Lego pieces.
We glued our board on the inside of the lid so that creations can be saved when packing away.
Here is Woodys’ creation which is a house complete with accessible ramp entry!
Pin for later!

The last time I went to Bali I was 19. It was 20 years ago. Prior to that was in 1980 when I was 4. It had never really been on my list to travel there as a family. I felt it wasn’t different enough, was too heavily touristed by Australians and too westernised. Particular areas have a bad reputation due to Australian tourists and I hadn’t considered it an option for our family until I found that Airasia were opening up direct flights from Melbourne so I booked. I am now owning my flight obsession issues!
Today we welcome Sally and her family to the blog. Sally has three kids and lives in Melbourne, Australia. Her and her family are currently exploring Vietnam. Sal loves an Airasia bargain like me and I’m so excited to introduce her adventures. We connected on […]
